About us
Being of midwestern upbringing, there is a natural inclination to avoid speaking in the first person. This midwestern modesty should never be interpreted as a lack of pride in achievement. On the contrary, it is felt that quality and pride in craftsmanship will speak for itself.
Three related companies operate from this location. Red Wing Framing Gallery, Red Wing Portrait Studio and Red Wing Digital Studio. All of these organizations have the shared passion of the visual world and there is significant overlap in activities.
Red Wing Framing Gallery is a consequence of several events; a life-long love of the arts, a motivation to create self-employment in a creative field and a life re-evaluation after 9-11. Our cumulative backgrounds are diverse and on the surface would not seem to be the traditional artistic or creative path. Finance, engineering and medical physics have all contributed in getting us where we are today.
How can these seemingly structured and technically rigid careers lead to creative employment?
Simple; life is non-linear.
Your upbringing and values dictate what you have to do when you have to do it, but passions and areas of sincere interest will eventually be the principle motivation.
And try to have fun along the way.
